Pharmacy Technician Training
This course is designed to provide instruction in the technical procedures for preparing and dispensing drugs in the hospital and retail settings under supervision of a registered pharmacist. Topics include: drug packaging and labeling, out-patient dispensing, hospital dispensing procedures, controlled substance procedures, inventory control, and non-sterile compounding. Upon completion, students should be able to perform basic supervised dispensing techniques in a variety of pharmacy settings.

This course will meet in person in the Smith building at DDCC on Monday evenings for 27 hours of in-person instruction. The remaining 88 hours of class will be completed in Moodle over the course of 9 weeks.
After registering for the class, you will need to purchase the required textbook from

There are no scholarships/reimbursements available for this course at this time.
Since this is a short-term training course, which is in a separate category of classes, unfortunately, financial aid funds cannot be used to sign up for this course.
