The course is designed specially to meet the subject requirements and standards established by the Department of Labor: Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Condition (HVAC). This course will continue the fundamentals of the refrigeration cycle and its importance in HVAC installation, maintenance and repairs learned in the Level I course. Students will prepare for the Refrigerant Certification test and will have an opportunity to take that test and receive that certification if successful. The course will also cover HVAC components, thermostat wiring, electrical meter reading and troubleshooting common HVAC issues. This course will focus heavily on general and electrical safety. Upon completion students will be prepared to obtain entry level employment in the heating and air workforce.
NOTE: Before enrolling in Level 2, student must have successfully completed Level 1 course. This is essential to ensure that all participants have the foundational knowledge required for success in advanced level.
