First Line Supervision

First Line Supervision

This 3 day class will prepare the participant to lead while providing the tools for them to also develop future leaders. These sessions assist with developing the foundational skills for leading others while establishing pillars they should instill in those for whom they supervise as first line supervisors.  These 3 days are filled with information and experientials that challenge the participants and enhances professional and personal development.

The information provided to personnel aims to offer a comprehensive strategy for transforming the narrative, enhancing recruitment, improving retention, and fostering a more holistic Law Enforcement Officer (LEO). Attributes that are non-negotiable, such as character, accountability, responsibility, leadership, and honesty—which all epitomize the profession—are highlighted. Through the initiative ‘Serving and Protecting in the 21st Century,’ these qualities, among others aimed at cultivating the most well-rounded LEO in U.S. history, will continue to be a focus. First Line Supervisors play a crucial role in the retention and development of personnel within their purview.

This session will delve into effective communication with officers across different generations and the best practices for preparing them for prolonged careers in law enforcement. The session is designed to enhance your leadership skills and to equip those you supervise with the tools to become future leaders.
