Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the Learning Commons?
The Learning Commons (LC) is located on the first floor of the Grady Edward Love Learning Resource Center, which is often referred to as the LRC.
Does the Learning Commons provide one-on-one tutoring for everyone?
Yes! The Learning Commons provides tutoring in the following ways:
- Open Lab: Open Lab allows you to drop in during operational hours and get help with your studies. Coaches are available to help answer your questions and provide examples.
- Appointment-based Tutoring: Our online scheduling tool allows you to schedule tutoring appointments for all in-person and online appointments.
- Online Tutoring: We provide around the clock online support for students. The scheduler allows Davidson-Davie students to schedule online appointments with Learning Commons coaches and with online tutors after hours. This service is free to you and is recommended for any student who simply needs quality after-hours support.
