Coordinator, Wellness and Athletic Activities
Jermon Marsh brings a wealth of experience in the health and fitness field to the fitness center and has served as a strength and conditioning coach at the collegiate level. He joined the DCCC family in 2014 as Assistant Basketball Coach for the Storm.
Marsh played four years of college basketball and also played briefly as a professional basketball player. He graduated from Bemidji State University in Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and 32 hours in Early Childhood Management. He completed several certifications in strength and conditioning training including Certified Professional Training Certification from the American Fitness Institute, Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED Certification from Indiana Wesleyan University and Fitness Coach Certification from Koko Fit Club. He has worked with the J Smith Young YMCA as a Fitness Attendant and Personal Trainer where he recently the “Extra Mile Award” for his work with YMCA patrons.
Part-Time Wellness Assistant
Nick Schilly is an experienced personal training and group exercise instructor. He has worked at the Tom A Finch YMCA in Thomasville for the past four years and is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a personal trainer. In addition, he holds certifications in CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and first aid.
Schilly was a scholar athlete at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in track and field. He volunteered as a cross country and track coach at East Davidson High School in Thomasville. He was previously employed with Davidson County Schools as a teacher for exceptional children at Tyro Middle School.
