Tuition Assistance Return Policy

Davidson-Davie recognizes that active duty members may not always be able to complete their classes, due to unforeseen military commitments.  Department of Defense policy requires a return of Tuition Assistance funds, when a class is withdrawn, prior to completing at least 60% of the course. Returns of tuition assistance are prorated based on the percentage of completed class time, as noted in the schedules below. Students will be responsible for reimbursing Davidson-Davie for the amount of Tuition Assistance that Davidson-Davie refunds to the Department of Defense.

8-Week Course

8-week Online Course

1. 100% of Tuition Assistance (TA) received will be returned if the student withdraws within the first week of class, but before submission of the first assignment. The student’s request will be processed as a drop for the purpose of returning TA funds only, not for Financial Aid attendance or recalculating of aid.
2. 75% of TA received of TA received will be returned if the student withdraws after submitting the first assignment and through the end of the second week of classes.
3. 50% of TA received will be returned if the student withdraws after the second week of classes, but before the end of the fourth week of classes.
4. 25% of TA received will be returned if the student withdraws after the fourth week of classes, but before the end of the sixth week of classes. (60% of course is completed)
5. No TA received will be returned if the student withdraws after the sixth week of classes.
