Title: Work Study-Student Records

Job Description: This position will serve as support staff to the Records office under the supervision of the Director, Student Records and Registration. This person is considered to be a member of the Records office team and is thus expected to demonstrate professional behavior at all times.

Job Responsibilities: Report to work as scheduled – This schedule will be coordinated by the student and the supervisor. The student is not permitted to work during his/her scheduled class hours or when the college is not session. File student records in the Records vault and pull records as needed. Prepare items to be mailed from the Records office. Enter data into the DCCC student database(s) under the strict supervision of Records staff. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Student Records and Registration.

Confidentiality Agreement: As a Records Work Study Student, you must promise to keep all student records confidential at all times. You must understand that if you breech the confidentiality agreement, you will be terminated as a Work Study Student, which will be reported to the financial aid office.


Title: Volleyball, Team Manager

Job Description: Assist Head Coach with duties such as serving scorebook keeper, scoreboard operator, libero tracker, lines judge, assisting with data entry, contacting new recruits, maintaining equipment etc.

Special Skills Wanted:
Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills, computer skills.

Minimum GPA: 2.00

Other Job Requirements: Need organization, time management skills, and writing skills.
Lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to attend home and travel to away games.


Title: Biology Assistant

Job Description: Filing, Word Processing, Excel, assisting with biology lab set up and take down, and washing lab glassware Type of Job Work Study

Job Location: On Campus (Lexington)
Special Skills Wanted: Computer skills, organization skills, self-directed

Minimum GPA: 2.50

Other Job Requirements: Punctual, reliable, have taken at least one semester of a biology, anatomy/physiology or chemistry course with a grade of C or better and be available various times during the work week including some Fridays.


Title: Business and Computer Coaching Center Support

Job Description: The work study student will work in the Business and Computer Coaching Center assisting the staff with various clerical tasks. These will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Keyboarding and data entry into an electronic spreadsheet
  • Document filing
  • Calculating time from sign-in sheets
  • Verifying that Tutor Request Forms are on file for students using the center
  • Cleaning computer monitors, keyboard mice and work areas
  • Stocking supplies
  • Answering the telephone, taking messages and forwarding them to the appropriate person on staff.
  • Assisting faculty and staff as necessary with class support, tutoring, maintaining course materials and similar administrative tasks

Minimum GPA: 3.00

Other Job Requirements: Basic computer skills, typing, basic math skills, ability to calculate time using a computer or electronic calculator. Basic reading and writing skills. Knowledge of and ability to use the features in Moodle. Ability to work on Fridays from 8 AM – 2 PM if necessary and additional hours during the week based on the student’s schedule and the school needs.
