DCCC Launches Annual Toys for Tots Drive

Members of the Community Invited to Drop Off Toys

Thomasville, N.C. … The Davidson County Community College Student Ambassadors and Campus Bookstore are teaming up to collect toys for the annual Toys for Tots drive through Dec. 4.

“This is something that DCCC has participated in for several years, and our students are thrilled to support the community in this way,” said Michael McGee, adviser for DCCC’s Student Ambassadors. “We invite members of the local community to join us in supporting this worthy cause.”

Toys will be collected on campus through Friday, Dec. 4. Additionally, a “Fill the Truck” campaign will be held in front of the Campus Bookstore, located in the Brooks Student Center, on Monday, Nov. 30 (Cyber Monday). “Hopefully, everyone will be encouraged to pick up a few extra gifts as they shop over the Thanksgiving weekend,” said Felicia Sexton, at-large member of the DCCC Alumni Association.

The Student Ambassadors and Campus Bookstore will celebrate the delivery of the toys with a covered dish meal for the Marines and volunteers on Tuesday, Dec. 8.
