Davidson County Community College Offers Aquarium Days

Davidson County Community College (DCCC) will open its aquarium to the public on four exclusive days in October and November. Aquarium Days are the perfect family outing and will give visitors a firsthand look at the DCCC aquarium, animals, and facilities. This one-of-a-kind event is also beneficial for anyone interested in learning more about the Zoo and Aquarium Science program DCCC offers. There is no charge for these events.

Aquarium viewing times are:

Tuesday, October 25, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, October 29, 10 a.m. – noon

Tuesday, November 1, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, November 5, 10 a.m. – noon

Current DCCC students enrolled in the Zoo and Aquarium Science program will be on hand to discuss and answer questions about the exotic terrestrial and aquatic animals. These animals include tarantulas, scorpions, lobsters, an Amazonian Pacu, a trained puffer, a ball python, and a Honduran milk snake. Open aquarium days will offer a unique learning experience for all who attend. For more information, contact David Ring at 336-249-8186, ext. 6435.
