Welding: MIG/Stick – Davidson

This course provides instruction on the principles and practices of welding. Emphasis is on the blueprint reading, metallurgy, welding inspection, and destructive and non-destructive testing. Course content will be specific to the welding processes SMAW (stick) and GMAW (MIG). Upon completion, students will have the knowledge base to sit for various industry-specific certifications.

****This course is the first course in a 3 course series. Students who have little to no experience welding will need to complete this course before moving on to the more advanced TIG and Fab courses. As a general guide students will complete this Welding (MIG/STICK) course. Once completed students will then move to Welding:TIG. After TIG is completed they will demonstrate their knowledge of all three processes in the final Fabrication course.
