Sustainable Agriculture Series

Join Lane Cox, owner of Silver Hill Aquaponics Farm, each month to learn about different areas of Sustainable Agriculture.  Each month you will explore a different topic.  You will learn about Spring & Fall vegetable gardens, Raised Bed Gardening, Backyard Chickens, Aquaponics, Food Storage & Canning, Raising Succulents and Soil care.  Join us for 1 class or all classes for the same price.  The first class will meet at the Davidson-Davie Community College Davidson Campus.

The Backyard Chickens class will meet at Tractor Supply in Lexington and the Aquaponics class and Soil care class will be held at Silver Hill Aquaponics.

These are the classes and dates scheduled; 2/22 Spring Vegetable/Flower Garden, 3/22 Container & Raised Bed Gardening, 4/26 Backyard Chickens, 6/28 Introduction to Home Aquaponics, 7/26 Fall Vegetable Garden, 8/23 Food Storage & Canning, 9/27 Succulents, 10/25 Composting/Soil Care.
