Current Students
This course prepares individuals to obtain blood and other specimens for the purpose of laboratory analysis. Course work includes proper specimen collection and handling, communication skills, and maintaining patient data. Graduates may qualify for employment in hospitals, clinics, physicians’ offices, and other health care settings and may be eligible for national certification through the American Society for Clinical Pathology as phlebotomy technicians.
You can schedule your placement test by calling 336-249-8186, ext. 6787, or test as a walk-in.
Note: You will need a testing permission form from Eusebio Velez (Public Safety, office #111) before proceeding to the Testing Center in the Grady E. Love Building.
Once you have completed testing, return your scores to Eusebio Velez to verify your eligibility.
