Although the local convalescent agency may indeed have a true emergency from time to time (and
run backup to local EMS), most of the response is non-emergent. This course explores topics
pertinent to the convalescent medic.

(Maybe lead in here with focus/explanation on DNR to prep the student and discussion about
documentation – could tie into nursing facility reporting (what they say happened vs. What you
observed, ie. Mrs. Eltha did not fall tonight, and it is clear this is an old injury)
