Homesteading – Off the Grid Skills

This is a great course to be introduced to some of the traditional homesteading skills that have been practiced history, as well as today, to assist families in providing for their food needs by living frugally or self-sufficiently (as on a homestead) especially by growing and preserving food.   Participants may attend all 9 sessions or pick and choose the ones they are most interested in with a one time registration fee.  The following class dates are scheduled as follows:

March 11 – Rain-Water Collection, Storage, and Use

March 25 – Spring Vegetable Production

April 22 – Alternative Energy-Solar

May 27 – Basic Animal Care

July 22 – Basic Plant Propagation

September 23 – Wild Foraging

October 28 – Preserving the Harvest.
