Healthcare Interpreting Certificate

We will offer the Healthcare Interpreting Certificate over the next few semesters. This continuing education program consists of three courses: Medical Terminology for Interpreters, Interpreting in a Healthcare Environment, Cultural Health Habits.

Completion of this certificate will prepare students to meet the education requirements to test for both the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI) and the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI). NOTE: A person must be at least 18 years of age and have obtained a GED/High School Diploma in order to sit for testing for either of the two national certification exams.
