Fitness with a Purpose: Self Defense
Class Sneak Peek Video:
Your Life Matters!
“Take things as they are. Punch when you have to punch. Kick when you have to kick” – Bruce Lee
There are many reasons to learn self-defense. It’s a skill that can save your life, help you stay safe, and protect others, as well as your property. Fitness can improve your ability to defend yourself in a variety of ways. The most obvious benefit is physical strength, but fitness also improves mental strength, endurance, agility, and balance. So why not get started today to learn self-defense and get a workout too with Jack Hames. Jack is a National Karate Association Karate/Kickboxing Fitness certified instructor and has been teaching martial arts for 25-plus years. This class will aid students in developing rudimentary skills in self-defense and especially for health care workers and activity directors. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate basic self-defense techniques of a physical and non-physical nature. All levels of fitness are welcome to participate in this class.
NOTE: Wear comfortable clothes to work out in, bring bottled water and wear shoes that you can kick with in class. This is a great way to get your cardio and muscle exercises all at the same time, while learning about self-defense too.
