Current Students
This course introduces the programming, setup, and operation of CNC turning centers. Topics include programming formats, control functions, program editing, part production, and inspection. Upon completion, students should be able to manufacture simple parts using CNC turning centers and be prepared to sit for Level I NIMS (National Institute for Metalworking Skills) testing.
No textbook required. NIMS testing can be done at Davidson-Davie County Community College for an additional fee of $68.00.
