Career Readiness Applied Skills

This course is designed for unemployed or underemployed adults needing to prepare themselves for college level courses and to get a better job. The goal of this course is to prepare students for the applied math NCRC National Career Readiness Certificate WorkKeys. The National Career Readiness Certification (NCRC) helps to ensure a community workforce who is prepared for current and future jobs that sustain our economic base.  The National Career Readiness Certification is a portable, recognizable skills credential that proves to employers that you possess the foundational skills relevant to specific jobs. The NCRC supports job placement, retention, and advancement. You can earn a Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum NCRC, depending on your scores. Applied Math: Builds the ability to apply mathematic principles to problems encountered in the workplace. Students who pass this applied math test and 2 other WorkKeys tests along with successful completion of 96 hours of course work will be eligible to work as teacher assistants in Title 1 schools.
