This course is specifically designed for CURRENT AEMTs that need continuing education hours or wish to renew their current* North Carolina AEMT credential. This course was designed following the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services 2016 document “EMS Refresher Educational Program Guideline,” however, this course IS NOT A “REFRESHER” COURSE. The curriculum for this renewal course exceeds the 2016 National Continued Competency Program (NCCCP). This renewal course is intended for the EMS community to use for continuing education and/or re-credentialing a CURRENT* North Carolina AEMT credential.
Upon successful completion of this course, learners will have met all necessary requirements for renewal of a current North Carolina AEMT credential. If the learner is within 90 days of his/her NCP expiration date, that credential will be submitted for renewal through Continuum. Learners that are outside of the 90-day window will be directed to follow-up with the educators 30-90 days before expiration.
*Providers with an expired NC credential are required to complete a “Refresher course” which includes a Technical Scope of Practice (TSOP) evaluation.
If your credential is set to expire or expires during the timeframe of this course, it WILL NOT count for a “refresher” course and you will not be able to renew your credential.
Attention Public Safety Personnel: For students registering for the first time in a Davidson-Davie Community College class that may be eligible for a fee waiver contact our registration office directly at (336) 224-4545 and provide name, address, etc., class information and the public safety agency you are affiliated with.
This training is provided by 911 eLearning Solutions. Students will receive an email from 911elearning on the first day of class with directions for logging into the online classroom. Any students registering after the start date should expect to receive the instruction email within 2 business days.
