College Enrollment While You're Still in High School

Career and College Promise (CCP) is available to any North Carolina high school student in grades 9-12 who meets the eligibility requirements.

You can choose from various College Transfer and Career and Technical Education pathways.

What kind of student are you?

Why You Should Participate

  • Registration and tuition are FREE.*
  • You can receive high school and college credits for completed courses. Some courses can earn AP credits.
  • Any College Transfer Pathway course you complete at Davidson-Davie with a grade of C or better will transfer to the 16 public universities in North Carolina and/or count toward completing a program at Davidson-Davie.
  • As a CCP student, you have access to all Davidson-Davie Community College Campus and Student services such as the Library, Fitness Center, Campus Concerts, Athletic Events and more.
  • College faculty teach all classes in the program.
  • Don’t know what you want to do after you graduate high school? CCP can offer you a sneak peek into the career or field of study you’re considering. Maybe it’s a good fit and maybe it isn’t. Either way, you get college credit and you haven’t wasted any tuition money.
  • You get to ease into college life and learn what it takes to be a college student, and how to get the most from your future college experience.
  • You can transition directly from high school into your desired career or technical program – earning your associate’s degree sooner than expected!
  • Career and Technical Education certificate programs can be completed while you’re in high school.

Meet Career & College Promise Students

Advantage Scholarship

The Advantage Scholarship was created for high school students currently getting a head start in college coursework through the Career and College Promise (CCP) Program. The Advantage Scholarship provides payment for up to 16 credit hours in both the fall and spring at Davidson-Davie Community College to full-time, first year students after all other available grants and scholarships have been applied.
