October 8-15, 2022 (Fall Break) (Trip is FULL as of 5/13/2022)
Spend Fall Break visiting Italy. This trip will start in Rome to visit the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Saint Peter’s Basilica, and more. We will then travel to Florence to visit the Accademia Gallery, Uffizi Gallery, Piazzale Michelangelo Lookout Point, and more.
This trip is intended for: Students, faculty, staff, and community members who have an interest in Italian culture, history, literature, or pop culture.
You will experience: In Italy, you will experience some of the most famous and historical sites in the world. These guided tours are designed to have the group see the most of Italy during their 8-day trip. Some highlights include Santa Maria della Vittoria, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and the Sistine Chapel. There is something for everyone!

Associated Course
All participants must take Humanities 120 for credit or the concurrent continuing education course. The class will meet during the first eight weeks of the fall semester of 2022 (dates & times TBD). The first and last classes will meet face-to-face and the others will meet via Zoom. The class will also meet face-to-face one day in the week following the trip for a time of reflection. The cost of the continuing education class will be $49.

Payment Plan
Payments must be paid to our Business Office & can be made in person Mon. to Fri. 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (except holidays). They are located on the 2nd floor of the Brooks Student Center on the Davidson Campus, or in the Administration building on the Davie Campus. You can also call 336.224.4545 or 336.249.8186 ext. 6341 to make a payment over the phone.

After completing your Application Form, you will be directed to pay a $300 non-refundable study abroad fee to the Davidson-Davie Community College business office to secure your spot. Keep in mind that space is limited and once the trip capacity is reached, applications will be closed, so pay your deposit as soon as possible to reserve your seat! Scholarship Info
Davidson-Davie Scholarships: All study abroad participants who have completed at least 12 credit hours at Davidson-Davie will have the option of applying for scholarships. For more information, contact Beverly Billings at Beverly_Billings@davidsondavie.edu or Kristi Louya at Kristi_Louya@davidsondavie.edu. Deadline to apply for the scholarship is May 15, 2022.
Gilman Scholarship: If you receive a Pell grant, you may be eligible for the Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship which may cover up to the entire cost of one of the summer programs if you are awarded. Keep an eye on the Gilman Scholarship info page (linked below) for deadlines. Please note: You will have to pay for your trip in full before knowing whether or not you’ve received the Gilman.
