Davidson-Davie’s Education programs combine your passion for teaching with the skills, theories and best practices for your future classroom. Our Early Childhood program prepares you to help shape the next generation of learners from birth to age 8. Our A.A. & A.S. Teacher Preparation pathways give students the opportunity to take the first two years of a four-year Bachelor’s degree program and then transfer to a four-year institution.

Programs of Study

Associate in Arts Degree Program

This program provides students with the opportunity to take the first two years of a four-year Bachelor’s degree program. The Associate in Arts (A.A.) program is included in the articulation agreement between North Carolina’s community college and its four-year colleges and universities as well as many independent four-year institutions.

Associate in Science Degree Program

This program provides students with the opportunity to take the first two years of a four-year program. The Associate in Science (A.S.) program is included in the articulation agreement between North Carolina’s community colleges and its four-year colleges and universities as well as many independent four-year institutions.

Early Childhood Education

The Early Childhood Education curriculum prepares students to work with children from birth through eight years of age in diverse learning environments. Students combine learned theories with practice in actual settings with young children under the supervision of qualified teachers. Graduates are prepared to plan and implement developmental programs in early childhood settings.

Elementary Education Residency Licensure Certificate Program

Completing your residency at Davidson-Davie is a more affordable and convenient option if you have earned a bachelor’s degree and are employed as a classroom teacher in a North Carolina school. Our program is designed to assist students in meeting licensure eligibility requirements through online instruction, on-site coaching and one-on-one support and mentoring from experienced K-6 licensed educators.
